I cannot launch Pocket Atlantis
1.0. I receive an error
stating something like "The
application you have launched
requires Microsoft eMbedded
Visual Basic Runtime to
be installed." or "Could
not create mbMenuBar ({0DA80E6D-788B-43A4-A443-E25B1FBAD9CC}"
or "not a valid Pocket PC
application."
A: Another program that
you recently uninstalled
might have removed the VB
runtime accidentally (this
is a known and common problem
with some older Pocket PC
applications). You must
download and install the
following CAB file:
http://www.sigmasoftc.com/products/pocket_atlantis/msvbppc.armv4.cab
After you install the above,
Pocket Atlantis should run
fine for you. To install,
you must connect to your
device through ActiveSync,
copy the file that you downloaded
above somewhere onto your
device, and then (from your
device) find the file in
File Explorer and tap the
file to install it.
